Executive Meeting tonight at 7pm in the small meeting room. If you have not handed in your Ice Show Commitment forms, please get them in or E-mail ASAP.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Parent Information Meeting for the Ice Show. The forms have been handed out for confirming your skater's attendance in the show. Coaches were also handing out the forms this past week. If you were missed, please check out the Year End Show link for all the specifics to date.
Remember - Forms are due January 31st!

Due to a serious car accident last week, Coach Stacy Robert was injured however she is on the mend. If you notice that she isn't on the ice as often or seems stiff please be patient as she is healing. Also, there might be some minor changes to the Senior Skater's schedules over the next couple of weeks. Please contact Coach Stacy if you have any questions or concerns.
We wish you a very speedy recovery Stacy!

BEAUMONT SKATING CLUB REMINDERS
A quick note to you all during this very busy time of year!!!
1. Senior Star Skaters ONLY - this Wednesday, December 21 there is NO morning skate due to ice maintenance. Also, there is no Friday morning skating on December 23rd.
2. Skating for this half of the year ends on Thursday, December 22nd.
3. BSC’s Christmas Family Skate is on Thursday, December 22nd from 6:00-6:45pm. C’mon out for a great night of family skating!!!! This is for BSC Members ONLY
4. Skating resumes during regular times the week of January 9th, 2012.
Ice Show
We are currently in the preparation stages for our year end Ice Show. There will be a parent meeting in January. More details will follow early in the new year....please stay tuned.
Cardboard Boxes Required: As part of their school project, the Art Students at Beaumont Composite High School create our decorations and props. They have been doing this for us the last few years and have done a wonderful job. In order to create everything they require cardboard boxes. The bigger the better. With the Christmas season upon us, we know a lot of boxes will be around and we would love to take them off of your hands. If you have any that we can use, please contact our Ice Show Coordinator, Angela Humeniuk at

TEST DAY - December 12, 2011
This is for Senior StarSkaters ONLY
1. Each test is $10. Payment to be received in full prior to the test day. Cheryl Turk and/or Gina Schlase can take your payment either Wednesday morning, Thursday Afternoon or Friday morning (if not already paid). If payment is not received prior to, skaters will be unable to test.
2. Dress - skaters should be in either skating dresses or skirts. Also hair is to be pulled back and in a neat appearance. Makeup and fancy hair styles are not required for Test Days.
3. Courtney will be partnering all dances and Stacy will be coaching and assisting with the running of the Test Day. Coaches fees will be added to your bill. To have a better understanding of what Courtney and Stacy's fees for test day will be, please speak with them directly.
4. Warm up and practice time will be made available starting at 2:15pm. Skaters are to arrive ready to go no later than 2:45pm. The Tests will be beginning shortly after 3pm and will be running until almost 5:45pm.
5. Skaters will be asked to wait in the change room until they are called. We ask that the skaters be respectful and quiet during the wait time. Bring a snack and/or personal entertainment.
Test Schedule has been sent out to all participants.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to speak with the Coaches or the Executive.

Effective October 10, 2011, A new Senior StarSkate schedule is being introduced. Skaters have been sent the schedule.

Those Senior Skaters who fail to notify the Coaches of absense will be charged for lessons set for time missed. 24hrs notice to the Coach is preferred however Noon the day of will be accepted. Notification to the Coaches are to be made by the skater or their parent ONLY via the Coaches e-mail (Beaumontcoaches@gmail.com) or by telephone. Check e-mail sent October 8, 2011 for those numbers.

CanSkate and Learn to Skate Class 1 & 2 Start up
Just a reminder that:
Tuesday, Oct 4th, is the start up of CanSkate from 6-6:45pm
Wednesday, October 5th, is the start up of Learn to Skate Class 1 at 4:45pm and Class 2 at 5:15pm.
CSA approved hockey helmets MUST be worn by all skaters - no other helmets will be allowed on ice.
Learn to Skate only - parents are allowed on ice for the first two classes but they must be wearing skates and helmets.

Reminder - Registration is on August 30, 2011 in the Curling Lounge, Upstairs at the Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre. Doors will open at 7pm!
