2011/2012 Year End Ice Show

January 19th was our Parent Ice Show Meeting. Thanks to everyone that made it
out in these frostytemperatures. The Ice Show is our annual event where our
Skaters get to showcase what they have learned throughout the year to Family,
Friends and the Community. The “Stars of Beaumont” is being held on Sunday,
March 11, 2012.

MEETING HIGHLIGHTS & FORMS
Confirmation of Commitment - Form
In order to have an Ice Show, we need the confirmation of commitment from our skating families of your Skaters attendance. Forms were handed out at the meeting and over the next week, more will be.
If you were missed, our apologies. Please pull up the form to get your own or please send us an e-mail before January 31, 2012. Forms can be returned to any of the Coaches.
Volunteers –Positions and Descriptions
In order to put the Ice Show on, we require a lot of assistance from our Skating Families as the Executive cannot do it alone. We have a list of jobs that we need help on to make this Ice Show run as smoothly as possible. Please check out the Volunteer Positions and Descriptions. We ask that every family assist us by signing up for at least one job. Please take a look at the volunteer list and let us know where you think you can help!
Prize Table – Donation Letter
Part of the Ice Show is a Prize Table that has baskets and prizes that are raffled off at the Ice Show. In order to have this popular event we look for donations from within our Skating Club Community and the Community at Large. Donations of Gift Certificates, Tickets, toys, clothes (i.e. Hats, shirts), Flowers are just some of the ideas. A donation letter has been created. A copy of the letter which was originally signed by our President is attached. Please go ahead and print it off. If you require this letter with the Signature, please contact the Club so that we can get one to you.
This year, our Prize Table Coordinator is Cheryl Turk. In order to ensure she has enough time to put everything together, she is asking for Donations to be delivered by Thursday, March 1, 2012. Donations can be dropped off with Cheryl, any Executive Member or Coach.
Costumes
This year, we are keeping things very basic. It will be a solid colored top and a dark pant or a jean. Once we have our final groups decided along with the songs, we will be communicating the specific details to you.
Photo Day
Photo’s are on February 26th from 1-5pm. A schedule and more details will be
made available in the next few weeks. Helmets are not required for photo day as
the children will not be on the ice. They will need their skates and what they will be wearing for the Ice show.
Boxes
We are still on the hunt for large cardboard boxes or large pieces of cardboard for our props that are being created by the High School. If you can help, please
contact Angela at 780 868 3475 or send the Club and e-mail and we can make arrangements to get them from you.
