FUNDRAISING
As we are a small club, fundraising is essential to us so that we can continue to offer the programs we currently have. This year the skating club is reviewing our Fundraising commitments and is attempting to come up with some new and exciting ideas along with some club favorites. If you have any questions regarding fundraising, please contact our Fundraising Chairperson,
Claire Doucette at 780-929-6142.
Skate A Thon
Over the last few years, BSC has held a Skate a Thon not only as a fundraiser but also as a challenge for our skaters.
The Skate a Thon will be held during class times on February 15th. Times for the Skate a Thon are:
Senior StarSkate – 5:15-5:45pm
ALL Learn to Skate – 5:45pm – 6:15pm
CanSkate – 6:15-6:45pm
Please click on your program for the appropriate form.
Please note, that this is not a mandatory fundraiser but all children are encouraged to participate. All skaters participating are required to hand in a form so we can pass out certificates afterwards. The form has been included in this e-mail or can be found on the website under announcements & fundraising.
2011-2012 Year
CASINO - ALL POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED
We have a Casino scheduled for November 27 & 28th. A $500 deposit cheque will be required at the time of Registration. 4-8 people per day are required. Paperwork for the casino will be available on Registration Night.
For those signing up for the Casino, please note that failure to show up for your assigned shift will result in your cheque being immediately cashed.
CHOCOLATE ALMONDS - For those not participating in the Casino our other fundraising option is Chocolate Almonds. Please check our Registration and Fees section for how many commitments are required for your program. Please note that cheques are required on the night of Registration and chocolates are to be handed out at this time. Cheques are cashed and you will keep the money raised.
FAQ
What are my fundraising commitments if I have more than one child participating?
If you have more than one child participating in skating for the 2011/2012 year you do not have to do double commitments. For example if you have two children enrolled in CanSkate, you will only have to do 4 commitments or one Casino position. If you have one child in Canskate and one child in Learn to Skate, you will have to do 4 commitments or one Casino Position.
Please note that there are limited number of Casino positions available. Again, these will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
